Celebrating Philly's Favorite Canvas
Once known simply as Pier 18, located on the Delaware river near Philadelphia's Fishtown and Port Richmond neighborhoods, Graffiti Pier is an energetic and constantly transforming outdoor gallery for Philadelphia’s spirited street artists. In the early 1900s Pier 18 originally served Reading Railroad for coal transport and saw heavy use until the late 1970s. As coal use in the US declined and competition for coal transport increased it became impossible to operate the pier profitably. By the early 1980s the site was no longer in use for coal transport, and by the early 1990s it was abandoned. This deserted site is being reclaimed and like the geometric forms, murals, and tags of the artists at Graffiti Pier, our tees celebrate the cultural value of street art and offer a stylish glimpse of Philadelphia inventiveness.
About Size
Opinions of family and friends of CLYDE are unanimous: order one size larger than you normally would if you like a little room in your tee. If you prefer a more form fitting look we bet you'll be happy with your normal size.
